The failure was my fault. I didn't want to spend the time to redo the Boot Camp partition properly so I found this resource online: http://www.twocanoes.com/winclone/, and used this video as a

Not only did I manage to erase the image but I also erased my external harddrive that I was using as my backup.
Does anyone have any idea how to recover the data?
Thanks in advance.
If you didn't empty your trash the files should still be there.
Just move them out of trash.

If trash has been emptied Data Rescue may be able to find your files, if
you haven't added anything to that external hard drive since you did the
erase.

I prefer running Win under a virtual space in Virtual Box.
No need to reboot your MacOS X.
Just runs alongside your Mac APPs.
