I had a problem with my wife's iBook G4 after upgrading from Panther to
Leopard. After I reinstalled the system, fixed all the permissions, VPC would
not run and seemed to be trying to install an update. It keeps asking for the
product code. I can't find it in the file, and have lost the disk.
I was able to by pass the problem somewhat by finding the XP Home icon and
starting from that. But I need to be able to find the product code. Does
anyone have an idea how to look for it?

Did you do an archive and install or just install over the top of your
previous system.

It appears that it wants the VPC Product Code.
