I read somewhere that you can't run vpc 7 on a ppc G5 mac that is
running leopard. 10.5.8 is this true. I need to run some microsoft
programs for on- line classes and need to find a reliable virtual
appliction that works on a power pc.

Since VPC for Macintosh is officially dead, there really isn't a
reliable virtual environment for PPC any more. VPC 7.03 reportedly will
run on a G5 (my copy runs _slowly_ on a Dual 1GHz G4, but I run Win2K so
it reasonable). Some have reported here that it won't read CDs
media--you must make a disk image and mount that from within VPC's guest
OS. Minimal or no support for USB devices. What are you trying to do?

I have a dual core 2.0ghz G5 running OSX 10.5.8 and VPC runs just fine. I
do not have the CD-ROM issue on this machine but one a G4 I had that issue.

I have running on my G5
VPC 7.03
QEMU
Iemulator

and all work fine with VPC having the best performance and polish. The
other two work but VPC works the best and I use that 95%+ of the time.
