Hello. I'm looking for assistance with VPC for Mac. I installed 7.0
on a G5 Mac running OS 10.5.5 and then upgraded it to 7.0.3.

The problem I have is when I start a new PC I am prompted to insert
boot media and restart. No matter what I do, the Windows CD will not
boot the PC. I have tried a copy of XP Home, XP Pro and even Red Hat
Linux. All CDs will boot my HP notebook fine. They all mount on the
Mac and can be browsed. However, VPC can't seem to pick up that they
are bootable. I have ejected the CD, captured the CD, restarted the
Mac, reinstalled VPC. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Paul

This is a problem with 10.5. I think it won't recognize the CD as a
disk. If you create a disk image with Disk Utility or have an ISO of
the disk and mount that, VPC will "see" this disk. Otherwise, you're
stuck. It works OK on 10.4.11, but you may not have the option of
running that version.
